About Us

Rob and Liz Bennett came to the Yarra Valley in 1973 and established the business in 1985.

Rob jackarooed for 5 years in the south east of South Australia and has been farming all his life. He has accumlated a lifetime of experience in farming methods and practices.

They have three sons - Daniel, Nick and Charles. Rob and Liz manage the home base for the business in Gruyere on 40 acres of rich farming land. They named the property 'Talbingo' after Mt Talbingo which is located behind Tumut in the snowy mountains. Nick & Charles, although working outside the farm, assist on the farm when necessary.

Daniel and his family manage 'Stedan Park' a 650 acre irrigation farm at Tocumwal, on the Victorian/NSW border on the Murray River. They grow oaten hay for export, lucerne hay, clover hay, wheat and fat lambs.

The business is operating under the guidelines of the Australian Fodder Industry Association.
